KIA ORA SGORES Although the weather was cold, sailin" conditions for the Vauxhall Power Boat and Sailing Club's all-comers' yacht race from Vauxhall to Macandrew Bay and back, which was held on Saturday afternoon, were good, and the presence of 15 competitors resulted in some good sailing. The boats went away to a good start, all the competitors' (sailing under the sealed handicap system) crossing the line in a little over a -minute. On the run to Macandrew Bay, Shadow, flying a large double spinnaker, gradually drew away from the rest of the fleet and rounded the leeward mark a gopd distance ahead of Kia' Ora, which was followed by. Ripple, Heather, and Avenger in that order. The remainder of the fleet followed in a bunch. . : . ,\ln the beat home Shadow maintained her advantage, and was first to cross the finishing line.
