DEMONSTRATION IN PARIS
IMPROVED FOOD DISTRIBUTION DEMANDED ‘ ' ' LONDON, Feb. 25. Thirty thousand Parisians yesterday crowded into the Velodrome d’Hiver in Paris to protest against the bad administration of food transport, and another 20,000 outside the building listened to speeches through loud speakers, says the British United Press Paris correspondent. The crowds carried banners with the slogans: “Give us milk for our children ” and “ Out with the Vichyites.’’ Speakers declared that “ black marketers ” were operating unchecked. The meeting passed a . resolution demanding the reorganisation of the Food Ministry and an improvement in transport facilities.
