SUCCESSFUL AIR STRIKES

(Rec. 11.30 a.m,) RUGBY, Feb. 25. Bombers and fighters of the Tenth Air Force yesterday were' out in »strength attacking targets at Lashio, llsipau, and Mansam, states a message from Eastern Air Command headquarters. . Lightnings of the “ Red Gorilla ,r Squadron concentrated on Lashio, (while Mitchells for the second successive day blasted the Pangland sector. .In the Hsipan sector Thunderbolts pounded an enemy roadblock six miles west of the town. A road bridge was probably destroyed. : Other Thunderbolts hit. Tare, eight • miles north-east of Hsipan, while Lightnings bombed and strafed supply dumps two miles north of Hsipan. Five attacks left Mansam smouldering. In the Mongmi 1 ; sector of thevbattlefront Thunderbolts pounded targets around Nabu as directed by ground radio, which reported “all strikes very successful.”
