SIGNALS UNIT IN AUSTRALIA OTTAWA, Feb. 23. Commenting on an-official announcement that a Canadian signals unit had arrived in Australia, the Canadian Press says the Canadian array.is building up a sizeable force of specialists and observers in the Pacific with nearly 1,000 men serving, with Australian, American, and New Zealand-forces ready to form the nucleus of a Canadian Pacific expedition. Reliable sources believe the expedition will comprise one mixed division of .armoured - and infantry brigades and one division in reserve.

The Navy Minister, Mr A. L. Macdonald, lias already announced Canadian naval participation in the Pacific, while the (R.C.A.F., it is believed, will operate 15 to 20 squadrons. of fighters and, bombers in the Pacific after the end of the European war.
