SENIOR MATCH. In the senior match, Otago, which at the luncheon interval had lost five wickets for 36 runs, concluded its innings for 74, Q. Phelan making some nice off strokes in getting 15 not out. P. Taylor (Ave for 12), Z. Hocking (two for 16), P. Blacker (two for 27), V. Russell (none for 8) were the bowlers. When the visiting side batted it lost two wickets very- quickly, E. Wise being out lbw without scoring, and Z. Hocking being caught for 6. Then P. Blackler joined J. Webster and a fine partnership resulted, Webster was eventually caught for 45, but Blackler carried on, and at stumps had made just 100 and was still unconquered. P. Taylor had made 15 and P. Pentecost was 8 not out,-and the total being 181 for four wickets. I. Stephens, A. Gaftaney, P. Holley, and E. Busbridge each secured a vvicket. JUNIOR GAME. Batting practically all day, Canterbury scored 239 in its first inning 6 in the junior match. The principal scorers were M. Heaton (59), V. Berg (39), A. Doubleday (33), N. Haynes (21), S. Kilworth (17), and B. Higgs (17). Bowling for Otago, R. Sew Hoy took three wi.ikets for 41 runs and N. Kelleher two for 29. Otago began its first innings in the last few minutes left for play, and made 11 runs for the loss of one wicket. PLAYER INJURED. Miss Joyce Callender, aged 24, residing at 24 Plunkct street, St. Kilda, a member of the Otago representative team, received injuries to her head during (he course of the game yesterday afternoon. She was removed to the Public Hospital at 3.15 p.m., and is reported to be making satisfactory progress,
