FIREARM TRAGEDY

BOY FATALLY SHOT PLAYING WITH SOUVENIR PISTOL (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Feb; 2. A shooting accident resulting in the death of a boy aged 14 occurred tonight in Totara- street, Heidelberg, a suburb of Invercargill. The victim was Keith .Thomas Lang, a son of Mr H. L. Lang, of 65 Conyers street, Invercargill. Lang and two -companions were playing with a German pistol, a souvenir of the last war. Lang put the pistol to his head and pulled the trigger. A bullet, which was in the breech, penetrated both temples. He was taken to hospital, but died en route.
