—■ The firs social of the year was "held on Saturday ight in the Wilson Hall, Mr D. Minnock presiding.
The Preident expressed the regret of thp society atjthe death of one of its members, Mrs jNeil McDonald, and members stood in sitmce. The gue-s of the' evening were Mr and Mrs Dona! Scott. Items were rendered during the evening by Estellc Midd'.emass and Margapt Green, while Highland dances were given by Shirley and June Smith. The piper for tje evening was Airdrie Stewart. The remairier of the evening was spent in old-time Sittish folk dances. The M.C.s were Mr Gay and Mrs McCurdy.
