CHINA'S FUTURE
ORIENT'S LEADING NATION (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, January. 26. China's monthly war production is now at least double that of November, said Mr Donald Nelson's report on his China mission, released by the White House. He added that as conditions on all fronts improve, the. moderates in the Government will be strengthened, thereby facilitating co-operation with the Communists. The report recommends the United States after the war to assist China on a sound business basis, and predicted that China would soon begin to replace Japan as the Orient's leading industrial nation, and become an enormous market for American exports. The report also recommends America to guide post-war China into peaceful demooratic channels.
