LONDON, Nov. 2<5. The Victoria Crass has been awarded to a Canadian, Major David Vivian Currie, aged 32, for gallantry and effective leadership of a small mixed force of tanks, anti-tank guns, and infantry which, after a fierce battle lasting three days and nights, routed 3,000 Germans and closed one of the main escape routes from the Falaise pocket.
