RETURNED SERVICEMEN
ST. KILDA BOROUGH WELCOME
An enjoyable welcome home function was tendered to returned servicemen of the St. Kilda Borough last night. The function was held in the Coronation Hall, and the Mayor of St. Kilda (Mr N D. Anderson) presided Associated with Mr Anderson were the Mayor of Dunedin (Mr D. C. Cameron K Mr J. J. Marlow, and the president of' the Returned Services' Association (Mr D. Forsyth). . Mr Anderson expressed pleasure in welcoming the servicemen, gPn-d extending to them the best wishes of the residents. Mr Cameron congratulated the St. Kilda Borough on the pleasant nature of the function? held in honour of returned mo.n. He also referred to the useful part the lesidents ot the borough played in all patriotic affairs, and made special mention of ''.he newsletter conducted by Mr J. B. Grant. Mr Marlow also spoke. The programme included numbers presented by the St. Kilda Band, and items by Misses Helen Roy. Rena Smith. P. and H. Innes, W Dowie, Messrs Collins, Bruce Adams, Morgan Fahey, and Bandsmen N. Thorn and R. Francis After supper a dance was held
