A tribute to the fighting prowess of the Maoris was paid by the Hon. P. M. Forde, Deputy-Prime Minister of Australia and Minister for the Army, in Dunedin yesterday. While in the North Island' Mr Forde saw reinforcements in training at a mobilisation camp, where the keenness of the Maori recruits particularly impressed him. " The prowess of the Maoris as fighting men is well known in Australia, and I was glad of this opportunity to see them in training."
