GERMAN CIVILIANS CHARGED

HARBOURING NAZI SOLDIERS RUGBY, November 4. Two German civilians, a farmer and a factory manager, who were charged with harbouring, protecting, and concealing three members of the enemy forces in Allied-occupied territory, were brought to trial in the former Belgian

barracks at Verviers on Friday, says a correspondent with the First Army. The hearing lasted five hours, and the case was the first of its kind to be brought before the General Military Government Court.

The accused, Robert Michel Hogan, aged 47, a farmer, of Horbach, Germany, and his cousin, Karl Packbier, of the same town, we're found not guilty of all charges and were acquitted.
