LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION

At a meeting of the committee of the Otago Lawn Tennis Association there were present Messrs W. Shorrilf (chairman), G. I. Black, R. Phillipps, D. Campbell, K. J. Richer, L. Facer, R. J. Sincock, K. Brown, and E. C. S. Falconer. It was decided to grant the requests of the King Edward Technical College and the Dunedin North Intermediate School for the use of the association's courts. The New Zealand Association advised that it would make a grant of £lO towards the junior coaching scheme. It was decided to apply for permission to hold the annual tournament at Easter. A request was also made that the South Island championships should be held in Dunedin.

The Anderson's Bay Club's application for affiliation was granted. The president reported that the McMillan Cup i tournament had been most successful and he thanked those who had assisted. It was decided to. he'd a men's and ladies' tournament in the A, B„ and C grades on Saturday, December 2.
