YUGOSLAV BULLETINS

STIFF FIGHTING IN DALMATIA (Rec. noon.) RUGBY, Nov. 2. Yugoslav Headquarters reports more progress in Dalmatia, Slavonic, and Macedonia, and fighting against German columns trying to escape from the southern parts of Yugoslavia. Russian-Yugoslav troops captured Mitrovica, 45 miles north-west of Belgrade. The Germans are being driven towards the Bosut River, on which Vinkovci stands. In the Sarajevo sector, the enemy withdrew to positions on the Romania Mountains.

In Macedonia heavy fighting is in progress at Topolcany, with a German column trying to break through towards Priler.

' In Montenegro there was fighting with a German division which was cut off from Cetinje. In" Central Dalmatia there was stiff fighting at Tomislav, Grad, Posuzje, and Siroki and Brijeg. Strongly fortified enemy positions at Skradm and Vropole were captured, and the fighting for Sibenik is in full swing.

The Yugoslavs are tightening the ring around Zara, and the Germans are evacuating officers and staff from Sarajevo by air.
