POWER STATION DESTROYED

(Rec. 8 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 8. Reuter's Basle correspondent reports that the 31,000-kilowatt power station

on the Kembs dam was completely destroyed by a direct hit in the attack yesterday. The Rhine level has fallen 7ft. The dam maintained the level of the water in the Rhone-Rhine Canal.
