OBITUARY

PROFESSOR A. B. KEITH Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, October 6. The death has occurred of Professor Arthur Berridale Keith, D.C.L., D.Litt., Hon. LL.D., an authority on Empire constitutional problems, r.t Edinburgh. He was aged 65 years. Professor Keith was appointed to the Colonial Office in 1901, and held a number of important posts in connection with colonial affairs. He was also regius professor of Sanskrit and Comparative Philology, Edinburgh, since 1914. He was the author of a large number of books dealing with colonial law and administration.
