MECHANICAL COURSE FOR DRIVERS According to automotive authorities at Detroit, there are in the region of 60,000 jeeps scrambling over the world's 'battle fronts. One interesting fact associated with the driving and servicing of this U.S.A. military four-wheel-drive utility car is that one of its two manufacturers has a training scheme whereby drivers are put through a mechanical course so' that they will be qualified in the care and maintenance of this scout car.
The company's instructors, furnished with mobile educational units, during 1943 visited 856 military camps in the United States and instructed 17,120 army jeep drivers in preventive maintenance and servicing operations,
