ALLIED TROOPS OPERATING

LONDON, July 11. . Allied troops, including French, of special air _ service regiments, have been bperating well behind the enemy lines against communications and other military targets. Considerable success has attended their operations, and a number of prisoners have bceu taken. There is no official indication of tho area in which the special air service regiments have been operating, but it is understood that they were dropped by .parachute. They were not ordinary saboteurs, says Router's correspondent at Allied headquarters, but normally organised military formations.
