ITALIAN FRONTS
PROGRESS IN TIBER VALLEY ADVANCE OF FIVE MILES (Rec. noon.) RUGBY, July 10. A correspondent says that in the Upper Tiber Valley we have advanced about five miles, while mopping up in the Carpini and Montone areas has been completed. On the high ground to the west of Carpini our troops held on to the Colle Dorci, where bayonet charges had to be made. Bridging operations are going on by night under fire, and road communications generally are being improved. Since the. start of the present offensive, the engineers have constructed over 200 bridges, many of them under fire.
