MiNATiOriS CLOSE MANY CANDIDATES IH CITY Nominations for the local body elections closed at noon to-day for many municipalities, county councils, and other local authorities, in the city of Duncdin there are two candidates for mayor, Mr D. 0. Cameron and i)r 1). G. McMillan. For the 12 seats on tho City Council 25 candidates have been nominated, the Citizens' • Association and the Labour Party having each sponsored a complete ticket. The position is the same lor city representatives on the Otago Hospital Board and the Utago Harbour Board, and is further complicated by the appearance of one or two independents. Three candidates are contesting tho mayoralty of St. Kilda and IS nominations have been received for the 10 seats on tho Borough Council. Mr \V. P. Hartstonge has been returned unopposed as mayor of Mosgiel. There" aro also three candidates tor the mayoralties of Green Island and West. Harbour.
