DESERTERS FROM POLISH ARMY

SENTENCES AGAINST JEWS CANCELLED LONDON, May 10. The Polish President, M. Raczkiewicz. cancelled the imprisonment sentences . recalled imposed against 30 Polish Jews by. the Polish court martial in Scotland, says the diplomatic correspondent of the ' Daily. Express.' The men are, believed to have refused to accept release unless they are allowd to transfer to the British forces. It is unlikely that this' condition will be accepted. The, prisoners pleaded before the court martial that they deserted and tried to join the British forces because they were victimised on account of their race. The sentences ranged from one to three years' imprisonment.
