TOKEN STRIKE GALLED

PROTEST AGAINST MR CHURCHILL'S STATEMENT LONDON, February 28. A meeting of 250 representatives of six political parties in free Italy at Naples decided to call a 10 minutes' strike of Italian workers next Saturday as a protest against Mr Churchill's statement in the House of Commons guaranteeing provisional support for Marshal Badoglio's Government until Rome is reached. The strike has the support of the National Liberation Committee. The workers will work an extra 15 minutes on Saturday afternoon to ensure that the Italian war effort is not affected. The National Committee of Liberation will to-morrow formally present the Allied authorities with the protest against Mr Churchill's statement.
