LICENSING COMMITTEES
DUNEDIN NOMINATIONS LABGUR TICKETS TO GGNTEST ELECTIONS Nominations for the Dunedin City and Dunedin South Licensing Committees dosed at noon to-day. _ In each case twice the number of candidates required were nominated, and an election will be necessary and will be held on March 14. The excess of nominations was the result of the decision of the Otago Labour Representation Committee to nominate tickets for each district. The elections will be the first for many years. DUNEDIN DISTRICT. Four of the retiring members of the Dunedin committee (Messrs Brown, Douglas, Jacobs, and Knight) are standing for re-election, and Mr Findlay has beesi nominated to fill the vacancy caused by tho death of Mr J. 11. ©reaver. The* other five candidates were nominated by the Otago Labour Representation Committee. The nominations are as follows; * William Richmond Brown. Ronald Burford. Thomas Livingston Campbell. •James Sandilands Douglas. Peter Findlay. * Vivian Simeon Jacobs. *Fred William Knight. Falconer McKenzie MdLeod. Neil McNamara. Edwin Siucock. * Denotes sitting members. DUNEDIN SOUTH.
The sitting monrbers of the Dunedin South Committee were nominated, and they will be opposed by the Labour ticket. The nominees are as follows: *James Adams. Leslie McGowan Burgess. John Herbert Clinch. John Patrick Cosgrove. •John Howard Hinton. '"Herbert Alfred Newall. •Arthur Godfrey Monii. Ronald Brace Ronnie.
