LAWN TENNIS UNION

\ meeting of the Management Committee of the Dunedhj Lawn Tenuis Union was held on Monday night, lhe president (Mr E. L. Hppe) was in the chair. j . . An application for afthation from the Torchbearers' Tennis Club was granted. The Secretary reported that about 100 members of the union were serving overseas, and arrangements were in hand to forward another parcel'to each of them. It was decided to write to the Otago Provincial Council of Sport, expressing dissatisfaction at the dlocation of tennis balls to the union, private clubs, and courts as against the allocation to clubs affiliated with -tie New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association. A. Yankee tournament was arranged for Saturday. February 5, at the Aotea Club courts. Miss S Morland, Messrs R. Facer and D. H. Mason were appointed a committee :to control the tournament.. j

It was resolved to agply the levy rule to all clubs for this season to provide funds for the general administration expenses of the union
