PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT
URSED TO STAND FOR FOURTH TIM NEW YORK, Jan. 24. A conference of 2,000 local C. 1.0.. officials passed a resolution urging President Roosevelt to run for a fourth term, pledging him full support. Another resolution endorsed President Roosevelt's (proposed National Service Act, winch has been opposed by both the C. 1.0. and A.F.L. national leaders. • The Democratic National Committee passed a resolution requesting President Roosevelt to continue as " the greatest humanitarian leader both in war and peace." Although the resolution did not mention a fourth term as President, there is no doubt that members of the committee regarded it as a request to submit himself for reelection.
