RECOGNISED AS BELLIGERENTS BY GERMABY PRISONERS OF WAR ASSURED CORRECT TREATMINT NEW YORK, January 10. According to privito advice from Berlin, Hitler has recognised Marshal Tito as a belligerent' to ensure treatment as prisoners of Mar for Germans falling into the hands of Partisans, says the Stockholm correspondent of the ' New York Times.' hi the past the Partisans have fought furiously, never surrendering, because they knew they woulj bo shot. Thus the Germans sufferell heavy losses, which they now hope to lessen.
