SURF LIFE SAVING
The St Clair Surf Life Saving Club he'.d its official opening ceremony yesterday. The president, Mr H. H. Henderson, led teams from St. Clair and St. Kilda into the water, after which several competitive events were decided. The following were the results: Six-man competition: St. Kilda men and St. Clair women 1 (equal). Surf race: H. Mciiride (St. Kilda) 1. 11. Ueav (St. Kilda) 2. I?. J. Isaacs (St. Kilda) 3. An exhibition of canoeing ivaf invert by members of the St. Clair Club.
