REQUIEM MASS At WELLINGTON

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. The Church of St. Mary of the Angels was tilled this morning, when there was a special requiem mass for the Maori soldiers, sailors, and airmen who have fallen during the war. Archbishop O'S'hea, the Metropolitan of New Zealand presided at the Throne, and tho celebrant was Father A. Pennington, S.M., of Otaki. The choir was composed of Maoris, and the hymns were sung in the Native tongue. The con-n-rogation included a- number of representative Maoris, and the Government was represented by the Hon. Mr 11. G. 11. Mason, the Minister of Native Affairs. Mrs Fraser. wife of the Prime Minister, was also present. The'sermon was delivered by l< ather lUordan, who paid a tribute to the dead and exhorted the living to uphold the tradition of sacrifice unto death if need be for the cause of justice and faith:
