MOSLEY'S RETURN TO PRISON DEMANBEXT _ CROWDS DEMONSTRATE IN LONDON (ißec. 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 28. A crowd of 30,000 gathered in Irafalgar Square this afternoon m a mass demonstration against the release or Sir Oswald Mosley. An efhgy of Mosley was hung from a mock gibbefi mounted on a horse-drawn cart, factory workers carried hundreds of banJ ner placards demanding Mosley s reinternment. . - , - ■■ One poster bore a drawing of a large rat with the words: "Battersea's rat campaign—put this rat ,back in gaol. A coffin bearing a swastika and the words: "Mosley here or Holloway. Smash Fascism now," was placed on points of the Nelson Column.. The crowd sig.iea a petition demanding Mosley's return as a prisoner, stating: "His release is an insult to men and women fighting in the services. The petition will be taken to the House of Commons .by Mr Denis Pntt, M.P., chairman of the demonstration. _ In the unlikely event of a division, the Government seems assured of a majority when the House of Commons debates Mosley's release at its next sitting. The Cabinet is fully behind Mr Herbert Morrison, who ordered his release.
