MASSED BAND CONCERTS

Tlio Oatuaru Garrison Municipal Hand, the Dunedin Ladies' Brass Band, and the Kaikorai Brass Band will present a combined concert in the Botanic Gardens on Sunday, commencing at 2.30. The bands will march to tlie Gardens from the Octagon at 2 p.m. A feature of the programme will be the playing of the hymn ' Lead, Kindly Light,' by a massed band of more than 90 plyaers. A further performance will be given in His Majesty's Theatre in the evening, when the bands will be assisted by Miss Muriel Caddie's Piano-accordion Band, Miss Gwenda Burt, Mr J. Mayfield (Oamaru), and Mr Roy McDougall, who was runner-up.in the recent vocal contest. Mrs J. Yule will be the accompanist. Admission will be bv si!ver coin.
