GENERAL MARSHALL'S APPOINTMENT EXPEGTED
NEW YORE, November 24
" General George Marshall's appoint* ment as supreme Anglo-American commauder is expected to follow the perfection of plans for the closest cooperation between the Russian Higb Command and the Allied forces, of which General Marshall is the head," says the Associated Press. "There is every expectation in Washington tha* General Marshall will establish his headquarters in London before the end of the year. It is believed that General D. D. Eisenhower will succeed General Marshall as Chief of Staff."
