FURLOUGH DRAFT
EXTENSION OF LEAVE ANNOUNCED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 25. An announcement that the leave of those members of the furlough draft who are to return overseas had been extended until further notice was made this evening by the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones). " The men concerned," said the Minister, "will receive in due course notices from their area officers calling them up for despatch to camp, and until they are required to report they will continue on leave on full ipay." The Minister stated that the extension of leave did not include an extension of the free railway pass, which would therefore, expire on Saturday.
