PIPING AND DANCING
SOUTH OTAGO CONTESTS The annual Labour Day meeting under the auspices of the Bruce County Patriotic Committee was held yesterday under good weather conditions. There was a large attendance, and an enjoyable day resulted. In addition to the dancing and piping, interest was added by the inclusion of chopping events. Mr IT. Walker was in charge, and he had the assistance of an Energetic committee. The ladies' committee did good work in the tea rooms, while others conducted remunerative side-shows. Mr N. Munro (Dunedin) judged the piping> and Miss M. Wilson (Dunedin) the dancing, while Mr G. Hayes was in charge of the chopping. There were large entries in the dancing, competitors coming from Dunedin, Southland, and South Otago. Results:— Highland Fling, under B.—D. Milne (Dunedin) 1, D. Brown (Dunedin) 2, A.
