MARAUDERS ATTACK FRENCH AIRFIELD (Koc. noon.) RUGBY, Oct. 22. American Marauders which attacked the airfield at Kdrux-Fauville on Friday morning were escorted by iR.A.F., dominion, and Allied Spitfires, says an Air Ministry and United States Air Force-report. No enemy aircraft were encountered by the Marauders or their escort, and all returned safely. Other Spitfire squadrons carrying out supporting sweeps destroyed eight enemy aircraft for the loss of one of ours.
