JAPANESE FERRY STEAMER
SUNK BY ALLIED SUBMARINE (Rec. noon.) NEW YORK, Oct. 7. The Tokio radio announced that an Allied submarine in the Trushima Straits on Tuesdav sank the ferry Kon« ron Maru, plying between Fusan (Korea) and Shimonoseki, on the main/ land of Japan. Seventy of tho 616 oa hoard were saved. ,
