NEW AUSTRALIAN CRUISER
CANBERRA, October 7. H.M.A.S. Shropshire, Britain's gift to the Royal Australian Navy to replace the lost Canberra, is now in service; Regarded as a valuable addition to Australia's cruiser strength, she is commanded bv Captain J. A. Collins, who. in H.M.A.S. Sydney, sank the powerful Italian cruiser Bartolomeo Colleoni. H.M.A.S. Shropshire underwent an extensive refit before joining the Australian Navy. • '• . ■
