DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC

An inquest was concluded this morning, before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., touching the death of Irene Ida Purvis, aged 52, single, of gl9 MeGeorgc Avenue, who died at Stafford Hospital on August 19. Deceased was admitted to the hospital on the previous clay for an operation for the removal of an eye. Evidence at the inquest was given by Dr G. M. F. Barnett and Dr S. L. Geerin, the coroner returning a verdict that death was due to heart failure following the administration of an anaesthetic. Proceedings for the police were conducted by Sergeant O'Carroll.
