There were reported sales of Union Bank at £7 13s 6d, Standard Insurance at 745, with the market closing at 73s 6d—7ss, and Woolworths, Sydney, at 18s Id, which were later quoted at 18s-18s 3d. Timaru Woollen had a buyer at. 20s with a seller Is away. In the Australian mining section there were inquiries for Bulolo at 535, Mount Lyell afr29s 9d, Placer Development at 60s, and Broken Hill South at 2Ps. Mount Morgan wore on offer at 10s 6d, Electrolytic Zinc (pref.) at 58s 6d, and No'rtn broken Hni we.e quoted at 475-495. WOOL REVIEW. For the scison 194343 the lop average price was gained by Oamaru at 14.33 d per 10. iVortn is.and average per ib was 13.09 d, South Island 14.03 d. MEAT PRODUCTION. The official figures .of killings for the present season at the Dominion's freezing works from October 1 to July 31, as issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board, show that lamb killings now total 10,957,246 carcasses, compared with 11,061,953 carcasses to August 1 last season, a decrease of 104,707 carcasses. Wether mutton killings are 609,450 carcasses, and ewe mutton killings 1.713,485 carcasses, compared with 757,039 and 1,901,528 carcasses respectively last season.
