GREEK GUERRILLAS
EFFECTIVE BLOW AT RAILWAYS (Rec. 10.57 a.m.) RUGBY, July 18. It is now 'known that the successes of the Greek forces on the night of Juno 20 compose the greatest single disaster Germany lias suffered through resistance in any occupied country. The demolition of an important railway bridge over the Asopus Gorge at Thermopylae was supplemented by the destruction of three minor bridges further north on the line to Salonika. As soon as, the Germans began repairing the most northerly (bridge a fourth was blown up, preventing them getting repair materials from Salonika. Thus the only railway to Southern Greece will be out of action for some weeks, if not until ".the falling of the leaves."
