ASSOCIATION CODE
The second round of the Otago Football Association's competitions was commenced on Saturday in fine weather, the results of the games being: Roslyn-Wakari 1, Northern 0; Air Force 3, Caversham 2; Old Boys 6, Maori Hill 2; Mosgiel.3, Ack Ack 2.
One of the best expositions of the code this season was seen in the game at the Gardens ground between Roslyn-Wakari and Northern, the latter side fully extending the competition leaders. Fast and interesting play aroused the spectators, and it was not till near the end that Simpson netted the winning goal for RoslynWakari. Mr A. Riach was the referee. In the match at Toijga Park Air Force defeated Caversham by 3 goals to 2 after the latter side had led by 2 to 0 at the interval. Air Force dominated in the second spell. Mr D. Cook was the referee. High School Old Boys, who defeated Maori Hill by 6 to 2, dominated most of the play in. the. first spell, but Maori Hill, playing with more cohesion, held their own in the second half, when Duffy and Thomson scored. The scorers for Old Boys were Groves (4), Dowsett. and Gough. Mr J. Jeffrey was the referee.
The Mosgiel Ack Aek game was a wellcontested one. the final score being 3-2 in favour of Mosgiel. There was little between the learns. Mr J. Welch was the reforee.
