Primulas, cinerarias, cyclamens, and other winter flowering plants should be potted on as they require. Plenty of ventilation must be given throughout the growing period. Where the summer flowering plants, such as begonias, etc., are showing signs of going over watering should be retarded and gradually stopped altogether when all the foliage has died down. .The pots containing tuners should then be (placed in a dry and cool place, placing the pots on their sides to prevent any.-water or moisture reaching them. Freesias which; are being grown from seed are now growing fast in boxes and pots, and will require a little feeding. Do not use superphosphate, but liquid manure from the barrel in which cow or horse manure has been placed. Commence by applying weak solutions twice a week, then increase the strength as the flower spikes commence to show. Hvacinth bulbs can be potted up at this "stage into .bowls, etc., for house decoration. Pot them into good fibrous loam, leaf mould, and sand or ovster grit.
