NEW ZEALAND'S CONGRATULATIONS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 8. The following .is the text of a message sent by the Prime Minister, Mr P. Fraser, to the Australian Prime Minister, Mr J. Curtin: — "Will you please convey to General MacArthur, on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand, a message of warmest congratulations on the decisive victory of his forces in Jhe Bismarck Sea. This action has undoubtedly contributed in a considerable measure towards lessening the immediate menace threatening Australia and New Zealand, and is an important step towards victory in the Pacific."
