Among quotations were:—New Zealand Refrigerating contributing at 10s 2d and 10s sd; N.Z. Breweries, 37s 3d and 38s 3d; Westport Coals, 24s 6d and 255; Broken Hill Proprietaries, 41s Od and 42s 3d ; and Waitahu Mining.at 4d and s}d.- .Government Loans'were-in good •demand, values remaining steady Banks, insurance, and shipping were not keenly sought after, and late rates were maintained. In nteat preserving Southland Frozen, ordinary and preference, were asked for at'B6s 3d and 36s 9cf respectively, while Gear Meats were wanted at 20s. In miscellaneous, A.C.I.s were in demand at 50s, and Australian Iron and Steels at 28s. Dominion Fertilisers were offered at 22s (3d, and G. J.. Coles at 59s 6d.
