A National Conservative was elected to Parliament at the King's Lynn byelection to-day, which was caused by the death on active service in the Middle East of Lieutenant-colonel S. Maxwell. There is thus no change. Flying-officer Lord Fermoy defeated! his Independent SoctaliHt opponent by 1,669 votes. Forty per cent, of the electorate voted.
