APPEAL BOARD
WAIKOUAITI CASES __ Waikouaiti cases were heard by the No. 1 Armed Forces Appeal Board. The following appeals were adjourned sine die:—W. I). Park, for T. J. White, a butcher's assistant; L. J. P. Meiklejohn, an orchardist; G. I. Jones, a tanner; W. Herd and others, for G. Andrew, a carrier; T. S. Kirkwood, a rabbiter, and A. F. Leckie, a fencer and farm hand; W. Lee, for A. W. Nicolson, a farmer; W. I). Park, a butcher; W. Lee, for -J. A. Stewart, a cheese Factory manager. Exemption from service in the Home Guard was allowed in an appeal bv A. O'Halloran for A. D. O'Halloraii. a dairy farmer. Extension of leave until March 15 was granted in an appeal by J. F. Toomey, a farmer. S. Payne, a farmer, and M. V. Payne were granted two weeks' leave from March 1 and April 1 respectively.
