GENERAL CATROUX'S ROLE
ALGIERS, February 7. General Catroux has arrived for a conference with General Giraud on the question of taking a high post in the new North African Government. He is expected to remain here permanently after returning from Syria, to which he is now en route. One source described General Catroux's prospective role as " neutraliser" between General Giraud and General de Gaulle.
