DAILY INTERCESSION

Our Father, in these hours of daylight we remember those who must wake that we may sleep; ble.ss those who watch over ns by night —the firemen and police, and all who carry on through the night watches the restless commerce of men on land and sea. We thank Thee for their faithfulness and sense of duty; we pray Thee for pardon if our selfishness or luxury adds to their toil. Realising how dependent we are for our safety and comfort, help us in love and gratitude to make their .burdenlighter; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Anion.
