RESERVED DECISIONS The industrial Man I’owcr Committee yesterday gave its reserved decisions, in two appeals which •were heard recently. An appeal by Norman Bertenshaw against bis direction by the man power official to essential work at tbe Itoslyn Woollen Mills was allowed, with the provision that if the appellant is not called up for military service before October 26, he should immediately report to the man power officer for direction into essential work as required. The committee disallowed an appeal by the Dunedin Engineering and Steel Com- 1 ’ pany against the direction by the man power officer of an employee, Leonard Cecil Wybrow, to employment with Messrs Hogg and Co. at Tahakopa as a bushman. It was stated that a replacement had been made by the man power officer.
