A secret ballot on the question of resuming work is to bo held to-day byall the minors involved in the Huntly dispute. The Hon. P. C. Webb said last night tiiat tho chairman of the Mine Workers’ Federation (Mr J. Devlin) and the secretary of the federation (tho Hon. A, MeLagan) had had a conference yesterday with the district executive, when a unanimous decision to hold! a ballot was made. Air Weibb said he felt that the common sense of the miners would prevail. and that there would be an overwhelmiug decision to resume work. All the men employed, in the Pukemiro mine, said the Minister, were being served witli summonses for their breach of the law’.
