OTAGO TRADES COUNCIL

ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Olago Trades Council of the New Zealand federal ion of Labour was held on Monday n.ghi. The president (Mr W. It. Clarke) occupied the chair, and Ih'ere was a large attendance of delegates of afiiiiated unions. Presenting the annual report, the Chairman referred to the work that had been done by the council on behalf of the trades union movement. He stated that the Federation of Labour was vitally interested in the war regulations lhat had been brought down, and he was satisfied that the works were doing (heir part m producing all the war materials that were required to assist in winning the war The election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr R. Herbert tejected unopposed); secretary, Mr L. K Evans; national councillor, Mr W H Richards; executive—Messrs R. H. Michelle, F. Percy, U. Mclntyre, F, McLeod. W. C. McDonnell, J. Hanan. S. Ikiu. and H. Gillard.
